Burning sensation in eyes fever like

I've been having burning sensation in eyes for the last 6-7 months. This happens sometimes in a day or may be few days in a week. And, when this happens, my body feels like I've fever and my eyes become a little watery. Consequently, I feel a little weak and tired. What could be the underlying cause for this?
