Depends on where you get it done. If it's via insurance, they will take care of most of it. If your policy has co-paymenrt, you'll have to pay a little amount extra. Costs vary between hospitals. A large corporate hospital will obviously charge more because of the standard of care and quality. A smaller hospital will still provide the same care with slightly less charges. Also depends on who's operating. There's no generalised fixed rate for any surgery. It can be custom quoted according to the requests of the patients.
Surgery duration should be somewhere between 1-2 hours, average. You can be discharged on the same day if the surgery is done early in the morning. You will have to come for another dressing 2 days later. Recovery time will be as long as 4 weeks, if an osteotomy and fixation is done. That's the time for the bone to start uniting.
