Bunion is different from gout.. Bunion is  a painful skin lesion on inner aspect of great toe, mostly visible on outside, is painful reddish area. Associated with Hallux Valgus. Gout on other hand affects the joint directly, this can be detected by blood tests of uric acid, esr, cbc.
