Greetings. You may have scabies - this needs proper treatment. HOWEVER I CANNOT COMMENT DEFINITELY BECAUSE I HAVENT SEEN OR EXAMINED YOU.
YOU MUST SEE A QUALIFIED DERAMTOLOGIST - AND ONLY AFTER THERE IS CONFIRMED DIAGNOSIS OF SCABIES YOU MAY FOLLOW THE DETAILED TREATMENT MENTIONED BELOW :
A. Permethrin 5% cream (HH mite cream or Permite 5% lotion) -
Directions for use of permethrin :
1. Have a good bath with soap late in the evening
2. Apply permethrin 5% cream over the entire body - below the chin
3.You can sleep with the cream on - and leave it on for ten hours overnight
4. Have bath in the morning with soap AND WEAR FRESH CLOTHES WHICH HAVE BEEN WASHED
5. This treatment should be done only one day in a week and should be repeated once in a week for 2 to 4 weeks as advised
All family members / close contacts of the patient must take this treatment on the same day. IF THE ENTIRE FAMILY IS NOT TREATED THERE IS HIGH CHANCE OF RECURRENCE. ONE FULL TUBE OR BOTTLE OF PERMETHRIN TO BE USED BY ONE ADULT PATIENT COMPLETELY AT ONE APPLICATION.
6. DO NOT APPLY PERMETHRIN EVERY DAY
B. Tab Levosiz 5mg 0-0- 1(ONE tablet daily night for 2 weeks)
C. Crotorax HC cream to be applied two times daily over the affected areas - this can be started the next day after over night application of permethrin cream
D. All bedding linen / clothes used previously must be washed properly - preferably with hot water, dried in sunlight and ironed - since heat kills the scabies mite. The scabies mite can survive in unwashed clothes for many days and wearing them during treatment will result in re-infestation with the scabies mite.
