A firm painless-to-mildly-painful bump near the anus that has stayed the same for months is almost never a tumour. In my OPD such photos usually turn out to be a sentinel skin tag, a healed external haemorrhoid, or a small perianal cyst. The fact that there is no bleeding, no discharge and no change in size for months is reassuring.
Next Steps
Get one direct look by a general surgeon or proctologist for a simple clinical exam - a skin tag or thrombosed pile is diagnosed in seconds by touch. Keep stools soft, avoid straining and long toilet sitting. Come back urgently if it grows, bleeds, becomes hard and fixed, ulcerates, or you get weight loss. If you want, book a consult with me on Practo or at Synergy Multispeciality Hospital, Miraj and we can plan it properly.
