Bulky uterus and pregnancy.

My sister is 2 week pregnant and when she experience an abdominal pain done lab test and confirmed that infection in urine. After consulting a gynecologist scanning report shows that the uterus is bulky and anteverted with early gestation. Is there any problem in her pregnancy?

Scan is fine..as an early pregnant uterus would be....dont worry...but she needs to be evaluated for such an early Urinary infection.. and also cause of pain...also ways to prevent further UTI needs to be told to her..even simple lifestyle changes may help

Uterus undergoes hypertrophy (becomes bulky) in a pregnant woman. The normal axis of the uterus in early pregnancy is anteverted. So everything is normal, and you need not worry. Treat her urinary infection as per a gynecologist's prescription.
