Broken bone around kneee joint

A piece of bone has broken within the knee joint and it is stucking out within the knee joint it is a moving from one side to another side around the knee bowl when it is at the inside face of the bowl pain is not there but as soon as it comes to outside face it causes a lot of pain what can be the possible solution for this
