Broken ankle and excerize

Its 58 days if my bimolleolar ankle in an accident. And plaster removed almost 15days in xray its show one side joined but in fibula still yet to joint a part. When I try to walk with crutch ankle become quite reddish and swets. Please advice should I excerise, walk or wait for few days. Please advice.
