Kindly do lung function test , to assess your lung capacities , then to decide whether to step up your asthma treatment will be based on your reports

Your history is suggestive of bronchial asthma. Uncontrolled bronchial asthma for a long duration can again lead to high blood pressure and diabetes. As you are experiencing increased breathlessness, chest tightness and fatigue it is probably due to exacerbation of your asthma. In such condition just inhaler therapy wont be very effective. You need to consult a pulmonologist at the earliest and get the exacerbation settled with short term nebulizations and systemic steroid therapy. As you have associated diabetes and hypertension, you will have increased risk of respiratory infections. Kindly get vaccinated with pneumococcal and influenza vaccine once your exacerbation is settled. It reduces the risk of future exacerbations. Hope you find this information helpful.
