How do I know that my baby is getting enough milk while breastfeeding? How often and for how long should I breastfeed my baby?

If the baby is sleeping happily for 2-3 hrs after feeding, passing urine 6-8 times in a day and gaining weight, it means your feed is adequate. You should feed from one side until it's empty. It's usually 10 minutes. So 10-10 minutes from each breast.
