Breast pain, warm and cold sensations

Breast pain that comes on and off. More prominent before period and more in right breast. Lately it feels like cold and warm and cold feeling gets up to nipple. No discharge. Had a superficial cyst on bra line under right breast that went away slowly. It refilled once in the last 2 months, but i don't feel it anymore. Referred to a dermatologist for removal, but it went away on its own. Mammo and US were done during this cyst, and radiologist found a small cyst in upper part of breast. It is not visible outside, i can only feel it like something is there. Is this concerning? I was told to come back in 6 months for follow up mammo and US. I did not have pain before but now it hurts. Feels sore and like something is poking. Warm/cold feeling extends to right chest and sometimes arm. Is this muscular or nerve or breast cyst related? Tried reducing caffeine and don't think it's helping. Please advise.

Hi. Observation required for size of cyst by scaning USG breast every 3 to 6 months. If size increase then need removed it by a small surgery. Do hormones tests also . For best consultation with us do paid consultation.

Hi the Breast pain that you are experiencing is most likely a benign cyclical mastalgia. The tissues in your breasts are hormone responsive and hence the pain gets aggravated during your periods or the second half of your cycle. It's not cancerous. It's broad terminology is Fibrocystic disease of breasts. The cysts in your case are small. Nothing needs to be done. We usually give pain killers and some vitamins to deal with the pain. BIRADS scoring is done on USG breast, if it's 0-1 means normal. If your gynaec has asked to rescan in 6 months, it's usually to see if the cyst is becoming bigger or not.
