BPD, Mania and Hypomania

I have BPD. I think I sometimes get Hypomania and mania episodes. How do I know if that's true when I am by myself, there's no one watching me or observing/monitoring me?

There definitely are symptoms and signs which are suggestive of mood episodes but the person having it is unlikely to identify himself or herself unless the person has high self awareness. Hypomania is a pleasant mood state and it's not very common for the people to see the doctor in this phase because the person perceives it as a state of well being. In mania most people have no insight in it, so it's unlikely to identify it all by yourself.
