Bone loss?

Ggot diagnosed with periodontal disease 6 months back, maintaining my orl hygiene now. Do I have any bone loss? Should I do water flossing or string flossing? Attached the xray

Dear patient. X-rays are 2 d image . As dentist we keep in mind that- Many times x-rays underestimate the problem. Your xray shows deposits of calculus. If you don't get dental hygiene visits regularly. Atleast 1-2 times a year, yes , there will be more bone loss  and later it will visible in xray.  Visit a dental clinic in your city for check up and get dental treatment done as advised. Water flosser etc is good in dental health maintenance. It is not the treatment but just maintenance.  Avoid self diagnosis and self treatment. Hope this helped.
