Blocked bile duct

Doctors , If bile duct is blocked due to gallstones So is it  possible to remove only stone from bile duct ? Or gallbladder must be removed from body ?

First  stones in bile duct  will be removed and t tube placed and later needs removal of gall bladder

Gallstones are formed in gallbladder.. stone in bile duct was formed in gall bladder which got slipped in it.. if we remove only the Stone from bile duct by ERCP, then more stones may reform from gallbladder and can slip again. Hence gall bladder shud be removed to prevent further complication

Endoscopically stone can be removed by procedure called ERCP and if still problem persist then may have to go ahead with surgery .. first consult a gastroenterologist

First blocked stone will be removed by ercp then lap cholecystectomy to be done. Yes u need to remove gall bladder
