If the doctor you have seen before has told you there is wax, you must put the wax softening ear drops till the wax softens which can then be removed easily without causing much discomfort to you. Those eardrops only soften the wax - the wax will not come out and is to be removed by a doctor. Based on your history it sounds like the earache is due to wax only and the symptoms will persist till the cause is treated. (One can only comment about infection after examination of the ear) All doctors have their own fee or procedure charges so cannot comment how much it will cost.
