Bleeding after bowel movement

2023-07-28 15:54:45
I had fistuletomy surgery along with internal lateral sphincterotomy on 10th July. Today, during defecation, i noticed a few drops of blood from the wound site. The stools were a bit too bulky and normal consistency. Is it normal to bleed after 18 days of surgery? Or should i be concerned and visit my surgeon?

its normal to bleed when stool comes hard even after surgery. try using laxative until the wound completely heals.
Next Steps
avoid constipation.
