Substance abuse and Dependance can cause various mental health issues. Sleep deprivation is difficult to deal with. Working on addiction is the key. With the abstinence your mental health concerns and sleep issues will be better. Medicine is really important but along with it start psychotherapy sessions with addiction therapist and understand how to support the long recovery. For better sleep you can practice sleep hygiene techniques and also have work on other contributing factors. A fresh start is always possible!

Hello, If there is problem related to only sleep then you can try sleep hygiene. This include- Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, including on the weekends. Use bed only for sleeping do not read book or use phone on bed. Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at a comfortable temperature. Remove electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones, from the bedroom. Avoid large meals, caffeine, smoking and alcohol before bedtime. Go for walk or exercise. You can take your medication at night time as all have sedating effects.
Next Steps
Consult your psychiatrist to adjust dosage and to know the reason behind insomnia. You can consult me for any help required.
