biotin is necessary for optimal skin and hair growth.
when you start having biotin deficiency, the hair growth is affected and so is the skin feel.
at home you could have biotin rich foods.
foods like Almonds, Walnuts, spinach, eggs, yogurt etc are rich in biotin.
alternatively, you could take a supplement also.
