Binocular vision
Hello,
I have been experiencing near vision doubling/crossing, mild persistent imbalance(aggravated while in crowds), occasional dizziness, and visual fatigue for over 6 years. Standard tests (MRI, ENT, eye exams, refraction) have all been normal. I suspect Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD) and would like a specialized assessment, including phoria, vergence, fixation disparity, and oculomotor tests. Please advise if you can evaluate and recommend treatment, including prism lenses or vision therapy.

Near disturbance especially with long screen hours are very common asthenopia , vergence and accomodation problems in young generation these days..

The symptoms you mentioned can arise due to eye related causes as well as neurological causes.

The symptoms you describe could encompass binocular vision disorders. This is a complex set of disorders and will require an in office physical examination. There are very exciting newer modalities of treatments for these conditions including gamified binocular vision therapy. You need to physically consult an ophthalmologist. Only a doctor can evaluate your ocular alignment and binocularity. You will also get your vision tested and often an uncorrected refraction may be the reason for above symptoms. The doctor would also check for eye pressure, clarity of ocular structures and your retinal health.
