I am suffering from bilateral sciatica for past one week. I have been prescribed Gabaco NT 400/10 and Ramcet D and advised complete rest for three weeks. As a lay man what I understand is both the medicine are to subside the pain. My question is what is the treatment for the condition that is causing the pain i.e the disk bulge that is pressing the sciatica nerve resulting in the pain? Is it the rest that will reduce the bulge?

Yes, rest will reduce the bulge. Physiotherapy, some exercises, hydration, avoiding weight lifting, all of this reduces it.
