Betnesol injection will fluctuate sugar?

Hi, im 35 week pregnant, and sugar levels are border to normal values. Im on sugar less diet. My baby weight is 2 kg and doctor is planning to give Betnesol injection 12mg 12th hourly for a day and then give a GAP of 24 hours and then go for C section. Is this approach correct? Will this injection fluctuate sugar levels to dangerous extend? How can this be identified or monitored??? Please 🙏 give valuable advice
