Been coughing badly. Dry cough.

I have been coughing very bad specially during night time since the past two weeks. I had cough syrup which I thought helped but it's getting worse now. Plus my throat hurts a lot and I feel more pain at night. Please prescribe me good meds for both cough and throat pain.
