Beard not growing

My beard is not growing except for some hairs around chin. Kindly suggest a solution for this problem. I assure this is not genetic as my dad has good beard.

Just dad s gene alone will not rule out genetic inheritance , it can be from any family member from both father side and mother side. There is no hope if it is from the beginning . Maybe after some years it can get better.
