Back ache

Dear doctor I m facing back ache problem which i m not able to describe very well.i m facing a pain pattern while sleeping. The pain aggravates while ibm sleep and continues to worsen during the course of sleep due to which i face difficulties getting proper sleep and my moments also gets restricted due to pain. I m facing this from a month , this started from my lower back and now gradually shifting to upper and middle back . Cant withstand this ,please suggest me the course of action. Also let me know if this could be a problem due to gas ?
