Baby not latching on properly

My baby is 1 week old and not latching properly. For the past 4 days we are pumping the bm and feeding her using pallada. Here are my queries about that. 1. Does usually baby has to put on too much effort to suck bm from mother or bm should come with less effort? How to make sure there is no slow lay down? 2. Nipples are almost flat with small protrusion. Is this affect baby to suck bm? We tried nipples shield and it's not helping. 3. Shall we use formula for emergency (if bm is not sufficient in a day?) 4. I read bottle nipple create nipple confusion, but bottle nipples are designed to replicate mother nipples. Is this really create nipple confusion among all babies?

1st of all please relax and dont b too stressed out as tht will hamper your milk output Yes the flat nipple seems the problem here, u can try syriging technique Yes nipple confusion does happen You need to get consulted for proper breastfeeding technique Meanwhile u can express/pump milk and feed the baby, if milk output is less u can start tab lactare one morning evening  or use formula feed 30ml water and 1 scoop powder make sure this concentration is maintained
Next Steps
keep a watch on the urine output atleast 6-7times in day time
Health Tips
keep urself hydrated and dont panic
