Is there any relationship between mild hearing loss  of 20 dB and bad mouth odour...do bacteria causes bad breath and hearing loss both combined...as I have a doubt that Bad breath is caused due to bacteria in blood and it's circulation to cochlea and other parts of ear causes mild hearing loss

To begin with, in a recent study it is claimed that hearing loss could be associated with oral hygiene too. The etiology is very simple. Cochlea (inner ear) needs rich blood supply and to maintain that, heart needs to funtion perfectly well at all times. It is assumed that the vasculature in the body gets inflamed only if at all the oral hygiene isn’t taken care off. The bacteria from the mouth can travel through the bloodstream and cause inflammation and in severe cases may lead to narrowing of the arteries too which inturn reduces the blood flow to various vital organs reducing the performance of specific organs devoid of rich blood supply. The reduction in blood suppy to the inner ear cells is believed to be a reason for mild Hearing loss. Hooe that answers.
