Hi, It's understandable to feel apprehensive about starting a medication like Amitriptyline, especially with concerns about tapering off in the future. While it's true that some individuals may experience challenges when discontinuing certain medications. Additionally, psychotherapy plays a crucial role in this process. Hi... Please consult a Psychiatrist for Medications. Also, before starting out to take medications you should first start taking therapy for your issues. Only when the symptoms are too severe for therapy to be effective, medications are used as a primary intervention. Remember, the severity and the root cause of your symptoms will define the process of your treatment. If it is caused by psychosocial factors, psychotherapy will play a vital role. If the cause is more biological or genetic, medications will play a vital role. In most cases, a combination of medications and psychotherapy yields good results.
Next Steps
