Anxiety and blood pressure

I have been dealing with severe anxiety and have had panicked attacks. I was put on protonix (pantoprazole) for about a month and a half. It caused severe side effects. My blood pressure was a little higher before I started it, about 138/84. And it elevated it to around 148/87 pretty much the whole time I was on it. Now that I'm off of it my blood pressure is 118/69. Is it possible that it could be dropping more than usual because of the protonix or could it be all in my head and be anxiety?

I want your detailed history..i don't want to treat you blindly without knowing the cause of the problem,I will try my best to treat you. some questions I might ask that will give me little idea about your history 1.    Anyone in the family was diagnosed with this type of illness? 2.    At what age did they receive that diagnosis? 3.    Were any family members diabetics? 4.    Is there a history of heart disease in the family? 5.    Has there been a diagnosis of mental illness? If so, what was the condition and who has been diagnosed with it? 6.    Have family members been struggling with other issues such as asthma, high blood pressure, alcoholism, or other substance abuse? please givme a feedback ASAP.
