Hi Doctor My daughter is 2 year old and her mundan ceremony (Hair shaving ceremony) is planned in a few days. As per the tradition at home, Iam told to apply Ghee on her head after the ceremony. Just wanted to check with you if applying ghee is safe. Thank you

Ghee application is medically not recommended, however for ritual u can apply a little , again wipe out with s savlon water , apply savlon diluted, before and after mundan. Sterilise properly all the instruments before and after use with boiling and application of spirit

Ghee is not an antiseptic. Can apply turmeric. It's a natural antiseptic.
