Yes, clarithromycin and Metrogyl (metronidazole) can generally be taken for a bacterial infection while you are on adalimumab (40 mg). There is no major direct interaction between these medicines. However, since adalimumab can lower immunity, the infection should be monitored closely. If the infection is severe, associated with fever or significant weakness, the next adalimumab dose may need to be postponed until the infection has settled.
