Ankle sprain

I suffered an ankle sprain 10 days back. Inversion ++ , No fracture seen in an x ray report. After which doctor prescribed me a plaster for a week . I agreed to it.. now even after removing the plaster, swelling as well as bruising persists. However, pain is felt only while walking or pressing behind the lateral malleolus. How many days does it take for total recovery. As well as what precautions should i take now?

In lateral ligament sprain; cast should be kept for 3-4 weeks. Medications like Enzomac, Evion and Tendocare will help. Keep affected ankle elevated.
Next Steps
