Hi everyone, I have successfully completed three and a half months of my bone tb treatment. I was diagnosed with bone tb in August and had been facing chronic pain since jan. 2018 in my ankle. Now my foot has been stuck in a plantar flexion position for months now, its more mobile now compared to before. Its not normal though. My doctor says that I need to keep excercising my foot in up and down motion, that is the only way I will be able to walk and otherwise I wont be able to walk. What to do?

ATT should is usually taken for 6 to 8 months. Even After the drugs are stopped, a careful watch should be kept  on reactivation of the disease process. Ankle and foot movements are gained by physiotherapy under supervision of a expert.

Continue your anti tubercular drugs,do not stop them unless your doctor suggests, exercises are must, but joint condition should be good to regain motion.

Ankle movements can be regained by range of motion and wobble board exercises. Please share X-ray of ankle / foot to know about the condition of joint and bones. Anti tubercular treatment usually goes for 6-9 months
