Anal fissure recovery after lis

2024-04-06 04:54:12
Hi, It's been 30 days after I did lis surgery for anal fissure. There's is less pain now but whenever I have a bowel movement, I see small blood in my stool. I am taking stool softeners alone. So my questions are 1. Why am I seeing blood?? Does that mean that there's infection? Do I need to consult my surgeon ? 2. What is the actual healing time after surgery?? 3. How can  I speed up the healing??

Hello, It is usually common to see some amount of bleeding post surgery. So along with your stool softener you need to have good amount of fibre rich diet. 1. Avoid spicy and oily food 2. Avoid straining for stools 3. Use lubricants like lignocaine jelly before passing motions. 4. Add more fluids and fibre rich diet
Next Steps
Take sits bath with warm water ( in a big tub) for 15mins. Twice daily
Health Tips
Avoid spicy, oily food, straining for stools. You can start keeping Pichu’s (medicated Ayurvedic oil dipped in a cotton ball at the operated site) it gives a very good and faster results.
