Amniocentesis test

Hi, We had a quadruple marker test at week 16 of pregnancy and the report is positive with high risk (1:215) of down syndrome. Our doc then prescribed for an NIPT. Nipt report is negative with low risk for all chromosomes. There is no abnormality in level 1 and 2 scans. We consulted another doctor for a second opinion after all the tests, she is prescribing that we should go for an Amniocentesis even if NIPT is showing low risk and thats the protocol. NIPT should not have done if the quadruple marker is high risk. Please advise if Amniocentesis is required if NIPT is negative with low risk.
