Am having anal fissure..I have consulted general surgeon she suggested for laproscopic ...is it really mandatory...if don't go for laproscopic is it danger...please let me know

U r query and worry regarding need for surgery depends on how severe it is … and u can go for laser options no adverse effects instead fastest recovery but I suggest even before or after surgery you have to change u r life style with intake of high fiber foods with plenty of fluids ..

Just go for normal traditional lateral sphincterotomy.. everything else is just waste of money

Usually I have not heard of laparoscopic treatment options for fissure . We commonly do a procedure called lateral anal internal sphincterotomy and it has very less side effects and it is a safe procedure with very less complications
