Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat — one tonsil on each side. Allergy can lead to inflammation of tonsil leading to Tonsillitis. This inflammation of tonsil in turn may cater and imbibe more infection leading to infective tonsillitis.
