1) In early pregnancy, two gestational sacs on ultrasound can mean a twin pregnancy. However, if the fetal pole in one sac is not seen even at 6 weeks and 8 weeks of dated pregnancy, it may indicate an anembryonic (blighted) sac. The other sac with normal fetal pole and heartbeat may continue till full term in that scenario.
2) Fishy odor may be a sign of bacterial vaginosis. It requires some tests for confirmation & can be treated by lactobacillus containing genital wash solutions and vaginal pessaries containing antifungal and antibiotics. BV needs treatment, especially in pregnancy, as it can trigger a preterm labor, or rarely an abortion.
