My sister is pregnant for the first time and she is at 5 months and while scanning report has been shown as ADPKD. Kidneys are slightly buldged they have said. they have given as probability of occurence is 50 percent and the cyst can develop in 30s or 50s age of the baby. They have asked to do a MRI scan in chennai for the baby. Is it really necessary to do the MRI for baby. Whether the kidneys will be normal? this type occurs if the marriage is done within the own relatives. But my sister is not married within own relative. Kindly provide some guidance.
