Admitted for Covid with severe Pneumonia

Patient 67 years, diabetes, blood pressure admitted for Covid with severe Pneumonia from last 24 days. Initially was on bi pap and now on high flow nasal cannula With 40 litre/min oxygen at 40% FIO2. Saturation is 96-99%. Initial lung severity on day 1 of admission was 19/25 Doctors are not confirming date of discharge mentioning that he needs further recovery. Patient is well concious and talking. Please advise Latest x ray and CT scan finding of 15 days old is attached.

Repeat a scan and other tests. Pt might require home oxygen with such severity. Consult Pulmonologist

Hi noted above history As you mentioned 19/25 CT scan at 67 yes if along with co existing diseases have poor prognosis

Ct shows severity of 60 to 70 percent involvement, cannot predict the discharge in view of covid patients, clinical assessment is required
