Addiction with justifications

I have some plans for the day to work on my priorities. Meditation, work out, keeping up my office work etc... Though I know I should be doing these, I keep slipping my mind and get myself into watching TV for prolonged hours like 4 hours daily for last several years if I say honest. It's not just TV, it could be mobile or something else. Or I might be doing some unwanted things . And my mind justifies every impulse of watching some TV or YouTube, it justifies to me that it's okay and you can watch with no problem and it makes me feel good and it also justifies to me that I am doing right only. But suddenly after the day has passed away and I see my priorities are pending . So long story short, I got fired from high paying Job. Now , I see, deep down my mind , some automation script is running, which makes me do things which are not good for me. How can I escape my own mind viruses . I will call these as virus programs of my mind which is acting against me harming me.

Gadget, mobile, social media or gaming addictions can very well be treated. The obsession in your mind can be addressed. Consult an astute psychiatrist either online or in person for remedy. Good luck.

It sounds like you may be having issues related to procrastination and impulse control. Don't focus on the goal but on the progress. Focus on small, achievable goals. Start with just 10 minutes of work before a break. Gradually increase your productive time. Recognize and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. Remember, each step forward is a victory. You have the power to change your habits, one small step at a time. But I do suggest going to a psychiatrist or psychologist to rule out any underlying serious mental health conditions. Remember, nothing is more important than your health, and timely intervention could make all the difference.
