I understand its due to hormonal imbalance. Any advice on that, whether dermatology is the right person to consult. is there a way to get over this.

It can be improved...Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne..So, please  send photos by direct online consultation as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Yea, if it is a progesterone IUD like Mirena, that is the cause. We will need to evaluate you. There us treatment available. A dermatologist is the only doctor to get advise on acne.
