ACL COMPLETE TEAR
Dear sir/ma'am
Myself santosh, process engineer in a reputed company with 70% work load on an average. I got my ACL torn two years ago. No surgery was done. I fell down twice till now due to the same. I'm managing my work and regular activities quite well. I'm afraid whether my situation might get worse due to this injury. I would like to know whether surgery is recommended or not. Please let me know your valuable opinion.

Hello there...in a complete acl tear surgery is definitely recommended...acl is a very important ligament providing stability to knee...in its absence abnormal motion takes place in knee...in beginning subtle enough for you to recognise..so even if you are able to do routine work, still surgery recommended to protect your knee from microtrauma of instability..plus add to it that surgery is very advanced and it will very less interfere is day to say routine..so you will be able to do most of daily work after surgery

It is proved out of question that even an ACL repair surgery might not relieve ur knee pain fully(if u have pain). But there is a chance that u r more prone for early osteoarthritis. So if u have pain,swelling or difficulty in walking,better go for surgery
