I am having too much of acid reflux I use to smoke but suddenly I stopped smoking from past one month. After quitting I am having some acid reflux and sometimes breathing problem and while doing any physical activity like excercise breathing difficulty increases. Help me with any kind of medication which helps or is. Mandatory to visit a hospital at this point of time. Thank you in advance.

Hi. I understand your concern s. It is good that you have stopped smoking never restart. It can be due to bronchitis also . For now do some yoga and breathing exercises along with controlling of acid reflux with small frequent meals and avoiding spicy and oily food. After 2 months or so undergo a pulmonary function test and consult a pulmonologist

Try using over the counter acid reflux disease medications for now. I would suggest you to meet a physician at the nearest hospital for evaluation.

Try taking some PPIs ( Tab PAN 40) twice daily. If it helps continue taking it for 2 weeks and meet a doctor whenever time is feasible. If not improving I would want you to visit the hospital at the earliest for evaluation of the cause.
Next Steps
Take PPIs
Health Tips
Don’t ignore and think that it’s only acid reflux if it does not improve with PPIs
