Hello mam..  The laparoscopic scars are usually small in size and as they are on the trunk,  they are usually not much pigmented.  However I cannot comment on how it's for u..  The cream which u mentioned might only help in decreasing the color of the scar and nothing else.  Kindly consider consulting a plastic surgeon  or me online with the pictures for further management.  Thank u.
