Well...leukemia depending upon the type and number of good and bad prognostic factors we can predict the survival rates..Philadelphia chromosome is a common mutation which leads to leukaemia..and flow cytometry is a test which will detect any chromosomal abnormalities present.. All these will help in analysis of the prognosis of the disease as in how well the patient has a chance of surving it or how bad the situation it...its upto you to decide.. As based on these tests the haemotologist will take a call on what treatment is the best in view of patient, how aggressively should we treat and how much is it beneficial for him..
