You can give foods from 4 or more food groups out of the seven food groups i.e.
1) Grains, roots and tubers,
2) Legumes and nuts,
3) Dairy products (Milk, yogurt, cheese),
4) Flesh foods (meat, fish, poultry and
liver/organ
meats),
5) Eggs,
6)
Vitamin-A rich fruits and vegetables and 7) Other fruits and vegetables.
Food preparation:
•Texture of the food should be finely chopped or mashed foods and foods that baby can pick up.
•Meal frequency: 3-4 meals plus Breast feeding. 1-2 snacks may be offered.
•quantity: ½ of a 250 ml cup /bowl.
