Hello doctors... I am 31 weeks pregnant. I got water leakage 2 days back once. I admitted hospital. Doctor gave antibiotics to infection. Only once water leaked. My stomach is soft to touch. Doctor suggested  to take Rantac and taxim o medicines. Please give me suggestions? Is there possible to leak again?

At 31 weeks, a one-time water leakage can suggest Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes. Your doctor’s treatment with antibiotics (Cefixime) helps prevent infection Ranitidine is for acidity—safe in pregnancy What you should do: Strict rest & avoid exertion Watch for continuous leaking, fever, pain, decreased baby movements Maintain good hygiene (pad use, no internal washing) Continuous watery discharge Foul smell / fever Pain or tightening abdomen 👉 If no further leak and baby movements are good, prognosis is usually favorable.

If it hasnt occured since, thats a promising sign. Often the leakage heals itself. Be alert for this happening again , and if you feel you have foul smelling discharge , watery fluid is escaping or you develop a fever , or a stomach pain . Antibiotic cover along with some baseline mediciations blood tests to look for any developing infection are also necessary. Take adequate rest . Make sure you do not strain for anything . Dont lift heavy weights or bend forward. A ultrasound evaluation of your remaining fluid content would also be advisable .

It's  possible  to leak again. Doing scan after few days shows fluid  levels.

Even one episode of leakage at 31 weeks is important. • Yes, it can leak again • Continue medicines • Get ultrasound (fluid check) If leakage repeats or baby movements reduce, go to hospital immediately.
