9.5mm stone in upper ureter in left kidn

I have been detected with stone in my left upper part of ureter.size of stone is 9.5mm in ultrasound .se swelling in left kidney also. Severe pain daily.doctor suggested siddh, pan d and one pain killer with immediate surgery. What to do ? How much time can I take ? Any other option other than surgery? Pls suggest.

9.5 mm stone is difficult to pass on itself or with medications. For pain u can take tab drotin twice a day..there r two options for stone removal..either ureteroscopic stone removal or shockwave Lithotripsy..for that CT  urography needs to be done to decide treatment modality.. serum creatinine also needs to be done
