3rd episode of pulmonary

This is the third time my father aged 69 got pulmonary edema and admitted in ICU .the first time he has been admitted after complications with diabetes it seems now the thing is his fluid intake is more from 2 months .he has a problem of bph ,is this causing all this issues as he takes dytor also .have attached the latest ct scan report.whats the test to check sepsis or anything as he is in Govt hospital and don't know what to do next.

CT reports shows he has features of pulmonary edema. First thing we need to know is whether it is due to cardiac failure or kidney failure. If it is cardiac failure. We need to know his Ejection fraction( pulmoping capacity) of heart. We can optimise medications with cardiologist opinion. If it is due to cardiac failure, you should ask the patient on complete bed rest and fluid restrictions too.
