"Acanthasis Nigricans" for over weight

I recently got to know...I have been suffering from the problem called "Acanthasis Nigricans" on my forehead Since few years..dark patches on forehead.it makes me discomfort.I foot on weight due to certain reasons.i am trying to reduce weight. 1) why forehead gets black due to Acanthasis nigricans? 2) what is the relationship between Acanthasis and over weight? 3) does any treatment cure this Acanthasis? Please clarify sir/madam
